Rainmaker’ is an installation for one reel to reel tape recorder. The machine is playing a tape loop, where sounds of rain is being played – rain as a field recording, artificially produced rain, something that reminds us of rain and of course a short weather report.
Kalle Vainio (b.1986) is a Finnish composer, multi-instrumentalist and video artist, whose works often deal with time and the various manifestations of experiencing time.
Vainio has released five solo albums under the artist name ‘Project Vainiolla’ and performed both in Finland and at international festivals, e.g. Flow Festival Helsinki, Musica Nova, Tallinn Music Week and Classical: Next.
