Finland has repeatedly taken the top spot when ranking the world’s happiest countries. What are the building blocks of a sustainable future from the perspective of an individual and a community? What elements do we agree on when we talk about a good life? How can we make sure that everyone has the chance to have that also in the future?

The discussion portion of the programme includes four discussions in Finnish, all revolving around the topic of building blocks of the future through various angles.

Right before the start of the discussions, Uniarts Helsinki will reveal its Alumni of the Year, who will have a discussion on understanding and imagination. This discussion is followed by three dialogues: AI expert Mikko Koskinen and Theatre Academy Dean Otso Huopaniemi will discuss creativity and artificial intelligence, MEP Sirpa Pietikäinen and MP Minja Koskela will discuss participation and power, and chair of the City Council of Helsinki Fatim Diarra and journalist for Helsingin Sanomat Niclas Storås will discuss cities and coexistence. The discussions will be moderated by journalist Laura Friman.

The discussions will take place at the Tori foyer in the Theatre Academy’s main building Kookos between 15:30 and 19:00. The language of the discussions is Finnish.
