Come and get to know the history of the University of the Arts buildings! On this tour, you will hear stories about the old Kallio and how the buildings in Sörnäinen campus have changed into serving the future artist. You will also get to see places that are normally closed from the public, such as the Theatre Academy’s (Kookos building) wardrobe and Mylly’s grain silo. Both buildings have their own tours.
The tours are held at 16.00 and 17.00. Each round takes about 45 minutes. The guided tours are accessible.
Tour around Mylly will leave from the Mylly lobby, in front of the event’s info desk. A maximum of 20 participants can participate in one tour at a time. If necessary, the tour can also be held in English.
Tour around Kookos will leave from the Theatre Academy’s Tori, in front of the event’s info desk. A maximum of 20 participants can participate in one round at a time. The tour is led by communications planner Jaana Forsström, who has been giving tours in the building since 2000. The tour is in Finnish.
