The Musical Journey Lippapiste contains a collection of music by one of the world’s most played musical composers of the 21st century, Andrew Lippa (1964 – ), whose music is stylistically diverse, yet always captivating. Andrew Lippa has won numerous awards for his work and his music has strongly shaped modern musical music, whilst being faithful to the tradition of his own genre. His musicals (e.g. Wild Party, Addams Family, Big Fish and You’re A Good Man Charlie Brown) are being performed in Finland in ever-increasing numbers.
The performance is directed by Jermo Grundström, the musical direction is by Maritta Manner and Jyri Numminen is in charge of the choreography. The performers are students of the Music Theatre Study Module and their singing is coached by Maritta Manner together with Hanna Hurskainen. The pianist in the performance is Anu Silvasti.
The performance is in Finnish and Swedish.
